The World Has Entered My Classroom

The world has journeyed here. Sit in a circle on my classroom floor -. Watching, waiting, wondering, wiggling,. How can I carry the world in my heart. Iraqi and Cherokee, Haitian and Jamaican and Filipino,. By rafts and boats and ships. The world has entered my classroom. The world has entered my classroom. It's too big, too big, too big for me. Even in a couple of days, we could see, based on the activities taking place on site, that our tourist dollars were furthering local development in this rather poor part of the country. At Chilamate, next day before breakfast, we saw flocks of egrets, and Passerini tanagers, and toucans very clearly, which was one of our major quests. Sloths were the number one thing Frances wanted to see in Costa Rica, so she is pretty much ready to go home now. They come with either two or three toes, and the ones we saw were brown-throated three-toed sloths. Every time Frances pointed her camera at the toucan, it flapped to the other side of the tree, and back, and forth, as she struggled to follow it. Hence the expression, "Toucan play at that game.
